About the Tarot

The tarot is a deck of 78 cards that has been used across cultures and centuries as a tool for reflection, meditation, and self-discovery. It belongs to no single tradition — its symbols speak a universal language of human experience, one that invites everyone to the table regardless of background, belief, or identity.

The deck is divided into the Major Arcana — 22 cards representing life's great themes and turning points — and the Minor Arcana — 56 cards across four suits (Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles) that reflect everyday experiences, challenges, and emotions we all navigate.

Each card drawn here can appear upright or inverted, offering a different shade of meaning. An inverted card is not "bad" — it's simply a gentler nudge, an invitation to look inward or reconsider. Use your daily draw as a moment of pause: a prompt to reflect on where you are, who you're becoming, and how you move through the world with intention and kindness.

The card images shown are from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck (1909), illustrated by the often-uncredited artist Pamela Colman Smith, whose visionary artwork has shaped how millions of people around the world experience the tarot. Card images used here are cleaned and resized scans released under CC0 by Luciellaes.
